Storewanderer looked at the photos and thinks the floor is Vons-issue; the decor is pretty much the 1990s Safeway style, still in use in quite a few Safeway stores (notably the Market Street flagship marina in San Francisco) and some Vons locations as well.

Some googling of the address shows that this is a former Longs Drugs. It's interesting that they would build a supermarket inside a former drug store but install a used sign package from a Vons.

Highly possible it could be a former Longs store, as Longs Drugs had awfully large stores, most notably the ones in Santa Barbara, Hacienda Heights and in Covina. Both look big enough to hold former markets, but (in Hac Hts and Covina) had a market in the same center.

There is an asian supermarket in San Diego (in mira mesa, may it be noted) that used to be a Former Edwards Theatre:

Big Bear Markets used to have stores that looked like that and I seem to remember them having a store around there, although I am not 100% sure it's the same location.
