Really sad to see this one go. It had the black on white signage and the Bauhaus interior, for the most part. It had some modern signage as well, but the Bauhaus wall decor. It was a total dive, considering it was in Grosse Pointe Farms, but it was right on the Detroit city line, and much of the customer base came from Detroit. It may have had crime or vagrancy issues...the bottle return machines were actually shut off at 8PM, something I've never seen at another Kroger.

That's a shame. That's one I'd hoped to get to before it went away. It looked from [url="http://tch546.tripod.com/smkt/kroco.html]this page[/url] to have been a 1950s/1960s era store that had gone through multiple remodels. No interior photos, alas...
