It's official, the former Lucky Store @ 3250 Lakeshore Ave. in Oakland, CA is being closed by Albertsons on January 4, 2006. There is rumor that the store might close even prior to the planned date. Take pictures while you still can.
B.T.W. the Longs Pharmacy in front of the Albertsons was originally the first Lucky Supermarket in Oakland, CA! Yes, you heard right the first Lucky in Oakland, CA!

This store has been reborn as a Trader Joe's. I believe there's also a drugstore attached, but Google maps does not list that.
[Added note: it's a Walgreen's ] It's great to see this building get recycled. That's interesting about the Long's store in front of it being the first Lucky in Oakland.
