Here's a nice vintage photo: an early 1960s shot of a Safeway in East Ham, London.

Hard to tell what era this could possibly be from:

I'm searching for any images/information about a Safeway store in Dallas from the 60's(?) that was located on the southeast corner of Preston and Royal. I'm seeing references to the location and links to pictures in this thread but the images are no longer available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1986 was about when the last Safeway stores closest to Boise were closing. Safeway was already gone from Boise proper by then, but surrounding communities still had Safeway. The Mountain Home store was sold to Albertsons, as were a few others. Farmer Jack actually took over some including the store in Ontario, Oregon and I don't think the name lasted in the region very long. The Ontario location is now Red Apple Market.

Albertsons took over a Safeway at Overland & Vista which operated into the 2000s until it was demolished for a new store at the same site. A former Marina Safeway still exists as a Rite Aid on State Street, right across from the first Albertsons location.
