Numerous news outlets reported in March 2026 that the Lucky store at 1750 Fulton Street in San Francisco will permanently close on September 11, 2026. That store is located near the University of San Francisco campus.

SFGate.com reports, "After the Fulton Street store’s closure this fall, just one Lucky will remain in San Francisco at 1515 Sloat Blvd."
The "Shelby Report of the West" April 2026 edition says that the store is located in a development known as Fulton Market. According to that source, the store operated as an Albertson's until 2014 when Save Mart Supermarkets acquired it. (That date seems late to me.)
