Only posting this since it wraps up a banner so may fit into history? Otherwise would not post a closure of a modern store. Refraining from any commentary on the operation.

The final Food Source in Stockton is closing in June.

This marks the end of the Food Source banner for Raleys.

Food Source was used as a warehouse store/price impact format for Raleys. Most of the stores were self bagging (some Raleys conversions were not) and cement floors (again some Raleys conversions were not).

Raleys established the Food Source banner in 1995 when it acquired a franchise Food 4 Less on Mack Road in Sacramento (closed 2020). Raleys proceeded to build new construction Food Source Stores not long after in:
Rocklin, CA (closed 2006)
Sacramento-Broadway (closed 2020)
Sacramento- Bradshaw (sold to Stockton F4L franchise PAQ in 2020)
Rio Linda (sold to Stockton F4L franchise PAQ in 2020)

Raleys also converted the following "new" Bel Air to Food Source in 1995 after buying Bel Air as Raleys already had a store of its own very nearby:
Folsom, CA (closed 2006)

When Raleys bought Nob Hill, one discount format store operated called Price Low Foods in San Jose at 14406 Union. This store was briefly converted to Food Source. Price Low Foods was more of a Grocery Outlet type of store as opposed to a warehouse store. This closed sometime in the mid 2000's.

Raleys further proceeded to open a Food Source in an existing grocery building in:
Hayward (opened 1996, closed 2021)
1 or 2 divested Las Vegas Albertsons in 1999 (closed by 2001)



Raleys then proceeded in the late 2000's/early 2010's to convert certain Raleys to this format:
Elk Grove - 9149 East Stockton (converted 2010, closed 2013)
Pittsburg, CA (converted 2012, closed 2019)
North Highlands, CA (converted 2012, transferred to Save Mart 2016)
Reno, NV 4047 S. Virginia (converted in 2011, transferred to Sierra Foods IGA in 2021, closed in 2022)
Fallon, NV (converted in 2011, closed as Food Source in 2013, converted to "Beverage Market" by Raleys then closed for good in 2016)
Stockton, CA (converted in 2016, transferred to ? in 2025)

Raleys final addition of a store into this format was in 2018 when they bought Scolaris, they added one store from that transaction which Scolaris ran as a warehouse format with the brand Sak N Save. Raleys did not rebrand this store to Food Source, but it was a Food Source:
Reno, NV Silverada Blvd. (closed 2023)
