I was scrolling through Flickr when I found some interesting photos of Waldbaum's. The person who uploaded them unfortunately doesn't say where these stores were. I tried to reverse image search the pictures on Google but all that came up was the flickr links. Does anybody know where exactly these stores were located? or when they closed? (I'm assuming all of these locations closed sometime before the entire chain closed 2015)

Good questions! The second one is Oceanside, NY at 3620 Long Beach Rd, closed 2015, now being prepared for an Amazon Fresh. I'm working on the others, but so far nothing.

Given that the site says all the photos were from April of 2012, that limits the Waldbaum's to somewhere on Long Island (since they had stopped using that name elsewhere, save one odd CT store for a time - that may have closed before then as well).

Would also (possibly) place them reasonably close together, but no guarantee - and suggest the Pathmark is close to the others as well?

Billy - I agree that it's likely these stores are close together. But I'm not sure those pictures truly were taken in 2012. I'm fairly certain (though I could be wrong) that all Waldbaum's had been switched over to the green logo they used until the end by 2012. I'm also not an expert on this, but the cars in the photos look much older than 2012. If I had to guess, I'd say the photos were more likely taken closer to 2000 but I couldn't say for sure.

I tend to agree. A lot of these seem to be scans, so the date probably reflects when they were uploaded, not when they were taken. flickr tends to mark things misleadingly if there's no valid camera (EXIF) metadata.
