Safeway-Vancouver, B.C.-Kingsway & Knight Street-c. 1966

The British Columbia Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has digitized (digitised, eh?) some of its "photolog" series of photos of its highway system from circa 1966.
One photo appears to depict a Safeway store pylon sign along Route 1 at Kingsway and Knight Street in Vancouver.

According to Google Street View, by circa 2007, that Safeway store site had been replaced with a tall building.

I have no idea what became of the Safeway store or if a "replacement" store was located nearby.
