Kroger 1990s interiors

Post by Groceteria »

Kroger people,

Was there any widely implemented interior package between the "Bauhaus font/large letter" package of the early-to-mid 1980s and the "grid" package of the mid-to-late 1990s? I've never seen evidence of one in any existing stores, but i was not living in Kroger country starting in 1992, and i'm wondering if I'm maybe missing (or forgetting) one.

Thanks!

Not that I know of...the earliest versions of the "grid" decor date to the late 1980s, and it wasn't until the early 1990s that it was rolled out to older stores en masse. Our local store in WV got its makeover around 1992, IIRC.
"The pale pastels which have been featured in most food stores during the past 20 years are no longer in tune with the mood of the 1970s."
