And on second observation: I had no idea that Kmart Foods ever operated in Canada, let alone lasting until the 1990s! I wonder who their grocery partner was in Charlottetown? Kmart ceased to exist in Canada in 1998, and everything about it seems shrouded by a haze of mystery now...
Evidently, they did exist. When I researched Chatham, Ontario this year, I discovered old directory listings for Kmart Food and an aerial photo with the sign visible! This particular store morphed into a Loblaws by 1975, so that was evidently their grocery partner in the middle of the country.
