This Winn-Dixie on South Blvd in Montgomery Alabama was closed in the fall 2005 round of Winn-Dixie store eliminations.










Capitol Plaza also once had a Montgomery Ward (1970's, early 1980's). That space has been an indoor flea market for many years. I remember it being a Montgomery Ward outlet store in the late 1980's.



I don't remember what the drug store was (current 98 cent store)

Great pictures. I especially like the sign. Doesn't even rate a dollar store - only 98 cents. "Mo Money Taxes"???

The sales tax rate in Alabama is TEN PERCENT! So a 98 cent store makes sense to me LOL!

I want to be nice today, so I am reserving my comment on "Mo' Money Taxes"!

But this area needs all the money they can get.......so they can move!
