Former ARCO Gas Stations in Philadelphia and its Suburbs

Someone in another thread here mentioned that the Camden NJ Gulf station, which was a "Gas Stop" station, which was Shell before that, was perhaps an ARCO station first. I have also noticed several gas stations and former gas stations in PA and NJ with signage similar to this station. The price signs by the road have a rectangular shape, similar to that used by both Getty and Mobil. I drove by an empty gas station in Lansdale PA (on Route 63) which I assumed had been a Getty, but now ARCO comes to mind instead. Same with the "US Gas" station on 202 in Blue Bell PA not far from Lansdale. Also, an Amish store in Ronks PA near Lancaster on Route 30 looks like it started as a gas station identical to the Lansdale example. There's a sign on Route 252 in Newtown Square PA for the Hot Spot Diner in Newtown Square PA (which is actually on Route 3), which used to be a Gino's, then a Roy Rogers, then a Hardee's, then a Boston Market before the diner, but this sign looks like it was for a gas station. Also, along Crescent Blvd in Woodlynne (next to Camden/Pennsauken NJ), there's an empty station which used to be CITGO, then an independent, which also has ARCO-like signage.

Almost all of the Delaware Valley (and NE Pa.) Arco locations were purchased by John Deuss, who then founded Atlantic Refining (Also included with the deal was the ARCO Philadelphia refinery). The Central, and North Jersey locations went to Shell.

Atlantic, along with the refinery, was purchased by Sunoco in the late 80's, and MOST of the Pa. locations were then rebranded to Sunoco.

Are you referring to the station at Cattrall @ Crescent Blvd.. or another one? I am pretty sure that was a Sunoco originally

Taylor Ave @ 130 was an Atlantic years ago, and could have been an Arco prior to that

I wasn't referring to a station which is currently Sunoco. There was another gas station almost next door to it which may or may not be open anymore. It didn't seem to have a name after dropping CITGO but the sign still has credit card logos below where the prices were listed, which was a CITGO style. Seems like this station might still be open as a repair shop, but I can't tell if it's abandoned or not. Either way it's done selling gas for now.
