I'm going to try to find a copy of the April, 1957 issue of Arizona Highways. I'm curious to know in what context they were printed. Maybe they did other articles showing this kind of stuff as well.

Arizona Highways is one of those magazines like National Geographic. There are a ton of 'em around, even on the east coast. Our main library probably has bound back issues.
