Former Colonial in Cordele Georgia (40 miles NE of Albany, 50 miles south of Macon)

Unknown opening or closing date. Address verified by city directories in city library

Address verified as Colonial Foods in 1961,1965,1967 City Directories

Address verified as Harvey's in 1974, 1977, 1978 directory.

Address verified as Rachel's Grocery in 1988 directory

Was Rite-Aid drug store in early 1990's until Rite-Aid built new store one block away in late 1990's. That store is now a CVS Pharmacy

The building at 116 E 16th Ave has been vacant since Rite Aid moved

Address listed as former Big Star in 1974

later Piggly Wiggly then FoodMax (Brunos/Ahold)

Harvey's moved to building in late 1990's from former Wal-mart shopping center. (WM Supercenter opened in mid 1990's)

Shopping center was remodeled recently.

The pylon and the design of the entryway, as well as the streetside location (for walkers & bus users if Cordele had buses) would seem to make the 16th Ave store an early 50s location.
