Thanks so much for the info; I've tried looking for the book online, the only place they have a copy is in the St. Joseph's University library. This will really help in my travels (I had no idea there was one in Yeadon!).

What book? The "Family Pride" yearbook? I think they have a copy at the Marple (Broomall) and Middletown (Media) public libraries. From that book, I found out about the Yeadon store and was also surprised. That one must be the Save-a-Lot now. They mention the Acme nearby, which was actually just Super Saver at that point. Perhaps it opened the same year. And as a matter of fact, it was one of the only Super Savers. Most Acmes with that basic design were actually not Super Savers. Instead they had the Acme "teardrop" logo with the "tiles", which was a carryover from the A Frame/peaked-roof days. That means almost all Acmes built from 1963-1980 had the exact same sign!

The Audubon Genuardi's actually was built in 1965 (relocated 1995), and the Chesterbrook one in 1981. And for the record the Springfield and Edgmont ones were both early 1996. The Edgmont store closed July 17 of this year, and Glen Mills/Chesterbrook this past Saturday (the 21). I know the Voorhees, NJ one was also on a recent closing list. It's beyond me how Genuardi's survives in NJ, and why they largely neglected and closed the Edgmont store, but upgraded the identical Springfield one.

Jamison opened in 1999...a small store in a small town, but was given a full Lifestyle remodel a few years ago. A pharmacy was later added in under Safeway's ownership.
(You have "Warrick" listed as a town, which is likely a misspelling of Warwick Township, which is made up of Jamison and that is all).

Warrington opened around 2000/2001, right around the time the Genuardi family sold to Safeway (and, likely, the newest store in the chain). Opened (and still has) with Genuardi's decor package and still had old slogans by the entrances and exits the last time I was there. Has a huge, spread out frozen foods section. Not a real busy store..was built facing in the shopping center (a freestanding store) instead of a major road. A real nice store, but high prices and Wegmans opened in 2006 almost across the street and pretty much killed their business. Also a Target in the came center has expanded their groceries. Only a handful of customers whenever I go in. I'm predicting it will close when the lease comes up.

And for entertainment purposes, I came across two Genuardi's Family Markets from the 80's and 90's

It was just announced today that the Genuardi's in Towamencin Village (Lansdale) will be closing in October; the article mentioned it's opening date was 10/17/1990, so it will be closing almost 20 years to the day.

Lansdale ends up losing both superfresh and Genuardi's in the same month. That wasn't expected.
