This Rite Aid is closing:

21132 Beach Boulevard (just north of Pacific Coast Highway), Huntington Beach

Site STILL has the OLD Thrifty interior !! Lighter blue, with "Serving you since..." Amazing that Rite Aid NEVER updated the location.

Shopping center has a large Big Lots! which appears to have been a former VONS.

Also noticed that the Big Bear CA Rite Aid, also former Thrifty has closed.

Site had received Rite Aid remodel...unlike the Huntington Beach location.

Sorry to hear that that the Big Bear store has been closed down, when i worked for the thrifty drug store chain many years ago, the Big Bear store was a very high volume store, i wonder what happened there?? It looks like rite aid is starting again to close stores at a faster pace.....

In Big Bear, Sav-On opened a site (now CVS). Walgreens did too.

Rumor has it that Walmart is coming! To Big Bear?!

Rite Aid has also closed a store in Stockton, CA very suddenly a week or two ago.

Former Thrifty, very little remodel.

I also read they pulled from a new store they were looking to develop in Woodland, and had told the developer they halted new stores, or something along those lines. They did already build one store in Woodland.
