Kmart Australia store design

In the early days of Kmart Australia, were the stores similar to the U.S. version? I ask this because the few more recent pictures I have seen do not resemble the U.S. stores either outside or inside except for the fact Australia still uses the "old" Kmart logo. If they were indeed similar, at what point did Australia break away from the U.S. design?

Kmart Australia started in 1969 as a partnership between Coles and Kmart Corp. In 1979, Coles acquired full control, and in 1992 bought out all remaining stock that Kmart Corp had.
That aside, I would assume the '68-'79 period likely shared similar decor. After that, it's likely Coles started putting their own spin on it.
