Stopped by the VONS in Coronado today (50's gable Safeway, right?) and it's looking sad. Pretty run down, especially for the upscale image of Coronado. But, it still has the Red & White interior, with aisle signs from the Safeway format of the 90's.

This is slated to be redone later this year. It's a landmark so there are some obstacles to overcome.
