Bob's Market and .....

Does anyone have info on what this store was originally? It is on the 1600 block of Ocean Park Bl. in Santa Monica.

Also on the same side of the street going west is a Moose Lodge with a domed roof that looks like a supermarket. (1600 Ocean Park Bl.).

The A9 shots do not give a good perpective.

My grandmother lived on Ocean Park and 25th from the mid-70s until she passed away in 1987. I remember that Bob's as always being a Bob's. A friend of my grandmother's, who we always called "aunt" even though she wasn't our aunt, was good friends with the manager of Bob's and he frequently let her take groceries on credit at the end of the month until her Social Security check came.

You probably realize that Bob's was a small chain of small stores on the Westside. I know there is/was one on the corner of Hughes and Exposition in Palms.

FWIW, my grandmother always shopped at the Lucky at Lincoln and Ocean Park.
