This chain was often found in smaller more remote parts on the west coast but also was occassionally in suburbs. Most have converted to Black Bear Diner in recent years but there are at least two known Jerrys left one in Fallon, NV and the other in Alturas, CA. We need to dispatch a photographer to Alturas. Someone can get the cowbow gun holding SWY sign in Lakeview, OR while they are at it.

Thanks for the picture. In Phoenix, there is a Jerry's Restaurant on Thomas just west of 24th street. The sign looks just like the one in the picture.

The way I have researched it, Jerry's is owned by Sun West Restaurant Concepts which is based in Scottsdale, AZ. They operate in most western states as well as some far flung location in OK.

In 1995ish, a Jerry's in Mt. Shasta, CA was sold and converted to http://www.blackbeardiner.com. After a while, it was disclosed that sales had quadrupled in that location. Black Bear's concept featured more decor, more food made fresh in the locations, and simply a less tired concept. At some point along the way, Sun West became a licensee of Black Bear and has slowly been converting many of their locations to Black Bear. Sun West does not appear to own Black Bear outright but research suggests they have put cash into expanding and growing that concept.

So far there seem to be active Jerry's in the follwing locations:

Lakeview, OR
Phoenix, AZ
Fallon, NV
Hollister, CA

Jerrys was bought last year, sold by Doty (more on who that is at the below article), what was left of it anyway, and has put a website up.

From what I can tell here basically the locations in Fallon, NV; Safford, AZ are owned by a new owner and the location in Weatherford, OK I am not sure if it is franchise or something but seems to have common decor and be on the website but has a slightly different menu. The new owner has some Mexican restaurants around Phoenix and is trying to run a to go only Jerrys out of one of those in Mesa.

The location in Lakeview, OR is still open and still called Jerry's but not affiliated with what is left of the chain and the location in Hollister rebranded from Jerrys in 2018 to something else and then closed in 2020.
