How many former Lucky Stores still have pylons? I am talking specifically of the ones with two or three squares.
Now that the Alma Plaza location has closed and the Salinas location demolished I can only think of two remaining pylons.

I know it's closed, but has Alma Plaza been torn down yet?

Other than it and the other two you mentioned, though, I can't think of any in Northern California, and I don't think they did that prototype down south.

With respect to the East Belmont store, pictured below, I've never found 100% hard, solid evidence that it was a Lucky; it's just always been my suspicion. Given that I live on the other end of the country now, that evidence probably isn't coming anytime soon, either :)

If it was a Lucky, though, its pylon still would've been gutted at some point, resulting in the open-air look you see.

Well, a 1953 Lucky pylon is PARTIALLY intact, at 372 Woodside Plaza in Redwood City. It is Pet Food Express now, and the tower itself is long gone, but some of the base is still visible, complete with (now painted) tiling. I don't think Alma Plaza has been demolished thusfar.

I can confirm that 4784 E Belmont was never Lucky. It was always a Food Bank, that opened in the 1950s. Lucky entered Fresno this way; in July 1959, they acquired the two Sierra Foodland stores at 4814 E Belmont ave. (close to 4784, though!) and 728 W Shaw, in the "Fig Garden Village" :)
Lucky stores' first ground-up store in Fresno was in the Mayfair (sic) shopping center at First st. and Mckinley ave. that opened in March 23, 1960, and I can see from a newspaper photo that the building didn't have a pylon.
Golly, to think that by June of the same year, Lucky negotiated a sale of their three Fresno stores to Purity. Gee, Lucky had planned to have six stores in Fresno just one year earlier!

I could have cleared this up for myself years ago if I'd noticed the similarity between the East Belmont store and another picture I took of the Foodland on West Shields (which had also been a Food Bank before, just like Belmont, as it turns out). I had all the information I needed and I just didn't catch it.
