I was driving down Foothill Blvd. in Arcadia yesterday and noticed that the Vons there (in the shopping center with Rite-Aid, KFC, et. al.) is closed. It was an older, smaller store that seemed pretty outdated every time I was in there. It's across the street from a Ralphs and a mile or two away from the Pavilions in Monrovia.

Does anyone know whether this has always been a Vons? It has definitely been so since I moved to this area in 1987.

It was a Vons as far back as 1971. Not sure what year it opened.

Its also relatively close to the Pavillions off Baldwin.
