San Francisco: Interesting article on 30th/Mission Safeway

Some community activists suggested (back when this was published about a year ago) that if Safeway ever expanded the 30th/Mission site (currently holding a classic 1960s Marina design), that they would want housing, etc. similar to Albertsons' setup on Fulton Street.

However, when I went to this store two weeks ago, the store was in the midst of remodeling within the existing structure, so I'm not sure Safeway has even considered this proposal at all...
