Philip Butler, a photographer based in Worcestershire, England, documents Great Britain's "inter-war architecture" (1920s and 1930s). See: https://artdecomagpie.com/ I especially recommend his analysis of "Odeon" cinema / movie theater buildings, especially their adaptive re-use. https://artdecomagpie.com/portfolio/odeon-relics/ Also of interest is his chronicling of surviving 1920s and '30s "filling stations" (automobile service stations): https://artdecomagpie.com/pre-war-garages/
I cannot find any grocery store buildings on his website, but it's possible that he has knowledge of British grocery store buildings of the 1920s and '30s. I have no idea if grocery store chains took root in the United Kingdom before World War II. He probably would be receptive to ideas and suggestions to photograph surviving 1920s and '30s grocery stores in Great Britain.
