Ah, Roanoke. The city I came close to moving to eight years ago. What might have been, I never will know.
1319 Grandlin SW is kind of interesting: First a 1940s Kroger (lasting until the 1970s!), then a Thriftway, and now the home of the Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op. The building hasn't been modified too badly, and it still has visible side buttresses and a barrel roof.
