Re: NEW: Gary, Indiana 1911-1975

The table cleared up the mystery about the arch-roofed Kohl's doppelgänger at (approximately) 6140 Broadway in Merrillville! It was once a Tittle & Sons food store. Yeah, I meant to mention that. I'm not sure if it was anything before or if they built it. The city directories list that address ...

Re: University Washington Safeway

Sigh. I remember driving by the store on a trip to Seattle almost 20 years ago and thinking I should stop in later. Never got the chance.

Re: New location lists: Cleveland and Columbus

Doing some overdue updates to Cleveland to fill in some gaps. I've made additions to the city (a few more to come later) and I'll work on the suburbs over the next week or so. I've also taken the map live, which I apparently forgot to do before.

Re: Unintentional interface change

It was a quick fix, just an unexpected one that I didn't have time to deal with earlier. Should be good now.

Unintentional interface change

So even though I had the automatic updated turned off at my host (for just this reason) it apparently swung into action today and wiped out my template. I’m away from home now, so I can’t really do anything about it. Sorry if things aren’t where you’re expecting them to be right now. I’ll fix it as ...

I have several of these from record store chains, but i don’t think I’ve never seen one from a department store chain. That’s pretty cool.

Re: NEW: Jacksonville, 1925-2020

I believe you are correct. Food Fair came in by purchasing Setzer's. Colonial (one of my pet chains) appears to have come in by acquiring Jacksonville (a/k/a Jax) Meat Company, and apparently did better in Jacksonville than anywhere else in Florida. There are actually a couple of stores (934 Dunn an...
