I believe you are speaking about Foodworld? Or maybe Foodland? It was a short lived discount operation for Publix. There were very few of them and I think it was northern or mid area Florida (maybe even Tampa). :) To my knowledge none exist any longer and also, I do not think Publix ever carried Top...

Fredrick's Pharmacy (Supermarket)
Dear Host and anyone else, I am trying to do a backwards research on the Fredrick's Supermarket chain that existed in Florida (south). I know they had at least 10 stores and that Food Fair bought them early 1950's? I have not been successful, so I thought that maybe doing research on the very early ...

I do not remember any little stores next to it nor would I call it a mall. There is a 2 story parking structure next to it. The parking lot is very small. ????...

Ummmmmmmm, no, not exactly. The interesting building you speak of that is now a Kinkos is farther east (I think the minor cross street is Stanley?). I believe it may be across the street from the Indian restaurant Dar Marghrib << spelling? Or, the Samuel French book store. :) Bristol Farms is on the...

LOL, David...........you know me so well :) That's what I was thinking (given the Field's presence, even though it was much later). What throws me off is the high part of the building in the back (an add on?). The parking situation would be relative to the time period it was built, no? Anyway..........
