There's still the marinas on Georgia Ave. in Wheaton and on University Blvd. in Silver Spring. There's another one in that general area that isn't in Kensington that escapes my memory. I seem to remember one on Connecticut Ave. up the road toward Aspen Hill, but I'm not sure. Other than that, the ma...

Gary, this shopping center was located on Market St. on the east side of York, along old US 30. The shopping center also contained York's Sears for many years. If you've been there more recently, the center built in the early 90's containing Giant and Lowe's is on the site that York County Shopping ...

I'm suspecting this is an indie, considering that the signs above the aisles have no mention of a store's name. Since Washington Mutual's banking operations are all on the West Coast, and I see a sign of large windows in the front of the store, I'm suspecting it may have been a Safeway in a past lif...

I would guess someone already had the name trademarked in Oklahoma, meaning 7-11 couldn't use it. As for the first 7-11, it looks strikingly like a 1970's era Sheetz location. However, Sheetz was never in Michigan, and still isn't today (Although at their rapid expansion rate, I wouldn't rule them o...

I would assume that Kroger with their divisions has been as diligent in removing signs of old interiors as they have in their namesake divisions. Almost all stores have the same interior here, and that is an interior that dates to about 2000, featuring green, white, and a beige color. Aisle signage ...
