Re: Max Foods
There was a Grocery Warehouse in Greeley, CO on West 10th Street between 26th and 28th Avenues. It was originally an Albertsons with an independent/Skaggs/Osco/Payless/Rite Aid drug store next to it. I think it may have opened as an Albertsons around 1970 and changed to Grocery Warehouse when they m...

There's always Ray Stevens' The Streak. He mentioned that the streaker running around was at the supermarket first.

Re: Comprehensive list of Kmart locations
Kmart #4347 (Greeley, CO) closed 10/15/1994, the day before its Super Kmart replacement opened (#4934, 10/16/1994 - 9/28/2008). The original Kmart store was demolished in 2007 and the local police station was built on the site. Source: I remember the date for the transition to Super Kmart and the cl...

Re: Early 90s-build Kmarts with auto centers?
The Super Kmart in Greeley, Colorado (which became subdivided into the call center I work in and a thrift store) opened October 17, 1994 with an auto center. It replaced an older Kmart on the other side of Greeley, which was built in 1969 with an auto center.

Re: Largest Walgreens store I've seen
There are several Walgreens stores here in Colorado that were former Longs Drugs stores. One notable example is found in Fort Collins, Colorado in a shopping plaza at Lemay and Riverside near an Albertsons (which is still operating; the last time I recall going there was a couple months ago).

Savings Place font (original title: Retro Kmart signage font
This is my latest draft of the font - now called Savings Place (thanks to submariner for the suggestion). I've tightened it up a bit and cleaned up some of the errors I made in a couple letters. In addition, I've included a possible example of usage in this draft. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/28606789/S...

Retro Kmart signage font
Hello fellow Groceteria readers. Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I was recently reading some posts here and came across this enlightening post by Andrew T., entitled " Older Kmart interiors (orange and otherwise) ". This inspired me to create a font from that style of lettering he dis...
